A Courtesy Call on FIH Head Office and FIH President Negre

   Japan Hockey Association who announced the bid for London Olympic Qualifying Games in 2010, organized a total of 6 of visiting groups,including JHA President Yoshida, Vice-President Takashima, Executive Officer Yokoyama, Administration Officer Koga,the Mayer of Gifu-ken Kagamihara-shi and Sports Manager Sakai. They went to pay their respects to the head office of International Hockey Federation at Lausanne in Switzerland and the office of President Negre at Barcelona in Spain.

    This is third round of bid for Japan to host the Olympics, followed by the Sydney Olympics Qualifying Games at Nagai in Osaka in 2000 and the Beijing Olympics at Kagamihara in Gifu in 2008. This time, JHA develops extensive bidding activities such as obtaining a recommendation letter from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the Japan Tourism Agency. For Japan’s consecutive host, we were able to show our earnest in this courtesy call. International Hockey Federation is going to select the host city of London Olympic qualifying games this December.
