Men’s National Team – the 5th placed match of the World League Semifinal

Result of the 5th placed match of FIH World League Semifinal (2012-14/ Johor Bahru) – Men’s National Team (Samurai Japan)

   Japan national team (world rank 16th) lost Malaysia (world rank 13rd) by 1-1 (PSO 3-4) in the 5th placed match of the World League Semifinal. Finally, Japan ranks 6th of 8 countries. In the final, Germany won Argentina to get the title. England ranks 3rd to win Korea and Pakistan ranks 7th to win South Africa. In the World League Semifinal that doubles as the World Cup Preliminary (2014/Rotterdam), Germany, Argentina, England earn the World Cup berth and in Rotterdam place, Belgium, Australia and New Zealand also qualify for it.

 

   Top 3 countries in this place and top 4 countries in Rotterdam place and a host country, India advance to the World League Final that will be held on January, 2014.

Germany As a result, Japan advances to 5th placed match with Malaysia (host country, world rank 13rd) at 18:00 on July 7. In the final day, there are the final (Argentina vs. Germany) and the 3rd placed match (England vs. Korea) and 7th placed match (South Africa vs. Pakistan). Both Argentina and Germany are qualified for the World Cup. Each game in FIH World League is broadcasting in YOUTUBE FIH CHANNEL.
