   We announce the final day results of the final section in Women’s Hockey Japan League 2014.

Coca Cola West Red Sparks defeated Sony HC BRAVIA Ladies who has more points, and won the championship in 2 years.

  • 4th min: Tenri #22 Arakawa pushed a pass from #11 Matsumoto into the net to open the score.
  • 16th min: Tokai #3 Sugimoto evened the score by her touched shot from PC. The 1st half ended with Tokai’s pace.
  • 38th min: Tenri who wanted to catch up, turned the game around by #3 Katsumata’s touched shot from PC.
  • However, Tokai’s goals from PC turned the game around again.
  • Finally, Tokai won the game by 3-2.Tokai

  • Both team started the game by careful playing.
  • 28th min: #15 Kasamaru touched a reversed hit from #17 Ichitani from the circle top into the net.
  • After that, Yamanashi held a pace of the game, but could not break Ritumeikan’s defense and the 1st half ended.
  • In the 2nd half, Yamanashi showed an aggressive offense, but Ritumeikan also counterattacked to make chances like PCs, but could not make an additional goal.
  • In the end of the game: Yamanashi got a PC and aimed for an equalizer, but could not shake the net by Ritumei’s hard defense.
  • Ritumei won the game by 1-0.

  • From the beginning, both team showed offense and defense from their pressing.
  • However, no decisive chances of both led to scoreless draw in the 1st half.
  • In the 2nd half, the game went on with Nanto’s pace, but Glaxo blocked them with fine defense.
  • After that, Nanto launched fierce offenses, but could not break Glaxo’s tight defense and the game finished with scoreless draw.

  • In the final section, the game saw Coca Cola who aimed for a come‐from‐behind victory in local game against Sony who aimed for consecutive championship. 
  • CCWR #13 Kato showed skillful stick work and got a PC, but missed that chance.
  • On the other hand, Sony got a PC from a quick restart, but could not score.
  • Just before the end of the 1st half, Sony’s hard offense was blocked by GK#1 Yoshikawa’s fine save and the 1st half finished with scoreless draw.
  • In the beginning of the 2nd half, Coca Cola got a PC from #13 Kato’s quick restart. Then, FW Arai slot the shot rebound by MF#18 Yana into the net to open the score.
  • Sony got a PC, but could not make a goal due to GK#1 Yoshikawa’s fine saves.
  • Sony who wanted to catch up to get a championship, launched fierce offenses and got a PC just 1 min before the end of the game.
  • However, Sony FB#4 Sakai’s flick went away from the right upper of the goal.
  • CCWR made tenacious defense to stand Sony’s offense till the end and finally won the championship as well as National Championship.
