The Japanese women’s national team, Sakura Japan (World Ranking: WR10), lost its final group game at the 33rd Olympic Games (2024/Paris) in Paris, France, against the Netherlands (WR1), 1-5, for a loss of 1-4 (3 points).

Japan finished 5th in Group A and was eliminated from the group league.
