The Asian Champions Trophy, organized by the Asian Hockey Confederation, is an international tournament to determine the Asian field hockey champion of the year, and has been held since 2011. 5 countries compete in a league-style group stage, followed by a ranking match from 1st to 5th place. This will be Japan’s eighth consecutive appearance in the tournament, following its appearance in the previous edition in Ranchi.
