FIH World Cup is an international competition to decide the world champion. 16 countries including the top teams from continental preliminaries and a host country will participate in it. This is the first time in 16 years and total 5th participation for Japan men’s national team.  In the last India World Cup, Belgium got the championship for the first time and and Japan ranked 5th as best in Madrid World Cup.
* The past record of Men’s national team : 9th in 1971(1st world cup), 10th in 1973 (2nd World Cup), 12th in 2002 (10th World Cup), 9th in 2006 (11th World Cup)
