• (Approval) Congress of International Hockey Federation at Montreux in Switzerland on 13 November

2. Contents

• Japan Host (Men’s and Women’s Games)  From 25 April to 6 May, 2012
   at Gifu-ken Green Stadium (Kagamihara-shi)
• India Host (Men’s and Women’s Games) In Febrary, 2012
• Azerbaijan (Women’s Games) Date is not fixed. 

3. Fixed Contents – 12 countries to participate – Each Men and Women

• Continental Preliminary : 5 countries
• Host : 1 country
• Allocation by World Ranking : 3 countries
• World Final Preliminary : 3 countries

4. Process of Olympic Final Preliminary

• Round-Robin Tournament among 6 countries
• Consolation Final (Final, Bronze Medal Match, 5th Place Match)

5. Countries  Participating in Olympic Final Preliminary

• After all of continental preliminary finishes, participating countries will be fixed around November, 2011

6. World Rankings （as of November, 2010）

• Japan Men : 16th ranked
• Japan Women : 9th ranked
