Coca-Cola West Red Sparks won their first Japan League title


   Women’s Hockey Japan League ended a playoff on the final day at Gifu-ken Green Stadium. With the result of the finals, Coca-Cola West Red Sparks beat Sony BRAVIA Ladies in extra time and won their first title in Hockey Japan League.

   First, Coca-Cola Red Sparks passed a regular season with the 2nd ranked and won Nanto Bank in the Semifinal in the 1st day playoff. Then, they played a game against Sony HC BRAVIA Ladies in the final, who passed a regular season with the 1st ranked.

   The final game went into extra time with the score of 1-1. In the 77th minute, Coca-Cola West Red Sparks scored from a PC to decide the game. This is the first time for Coca-Cola West Red Sparks to win Hockey Japan League since 2005 when they first participated in the league.
