The Japan U18 Women’s Youth National Hockey Team faced Malaysia TIGRESS in the final of the “4th NHDP Mirnawan Cup (2025/Kuala Lumpur)” held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and secured a 4-1 victory to claim the championship title at this tournament.

The MVP award went to #5 DF Kurumi Yoshida (Fukui Prefectural Nyu High School), while the scoring title was awarded to #16 FW Nene Fujii (Fukui Prefectural Nyu High School).

Captain: #4 DF Hinano Kimura (Gifu Prefectural Gifu Kagamino High School) commented:

“In the final against host nation Malaysia, we were playing away but managed to score first, which put us in a good rhythm. However, we conceded goals in the same pattern as during the league stage. In the 4th quarter, we played our style of hockey, putting our desire to win front and center. I’m thrilled we fought together until the very end and secured the championship.”
