— Men’s and Women’s National Teams to Face Off at Tokyo 2020 Olympic Venues and Aichi/Nagoya Asian Games Venues —

The Japan Hockey Association (President: Kazuyasu Misu) will host the “Japan-China-Korea International Hockey Friendly Matches 2026,” an international tournament featuring men’s and women’s national teams from Japan, China, and South Korea, in Tokyo and Gifu in April 2026.

Six men’s and women’s national teams from Japan, China, and South Korea will participate in this tournament. Matches will be held at two venues: the Oi Hockey Stadium (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo), the venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic hockey competition, and the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Hockey Stadium (Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture), which will host the hockey events at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

The Japanese men’s national team, “Samurai Japan” (ranked 14th in the world), the Japanese women’s national team, “Sakura Japan” (ranked 15th), and the Chinese women’s national team (ranked 4th) are all qualifiers for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup, making these matches crucial international warm-up games in preparation for the World Cup and the Asian Games.
