The Japanese women’s national hockey team, Sakura Japan (World Ranking = WR12), defeated Malaysia (WR21) 4-0 in their third match at the 16th FIH World Cup Final Qualifier (2026/Santiago) held in Santiago, Chile.

With a record of 2 wins and 1 loss (6 points), Japan advanced from Qualifying Pool B in second place.
